Join us for GULBOR’s Thanksgiving Membership Luncheon and the Installation of our 2026 Officers and Directors on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at No Greater Joy Events (611 W Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643). This special gathering is the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season, connect with fellow members, and look ahead to an exciting new year. Enjoy delicious food, a warm and festive atmosphere, and a formal installation ceremony recognizing the leadership guiding our association into 2026.

Jeff Ledford, RCE

Jeff Ledford, RCE, has been a valued member of the Georgia REALTORS® staff since August 2016 and currently serves as External Affairs Officer. In this role, he oversees political programs that protect GAR members from public policy decisions that could impact private property rights and the real estate industry. Additionally, Jeff serves as GAR’s spokesperson on legislative, economic policy, and political matters at both the state and federal levels.

He is the staff liaison for several key GAR groups, including the Associations Collaborating Together (ACT) Council, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (IDEA) Committee, Property Management Council, REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), and the State and Local Governmental Affairs Committees.

Jeff holds a degree in Political Science from Georgia State University and has earned the REALTOR® Certified Executive designation. A registered lobbyist since 1995, he previously served as Georgia’s 3rd Real Estate Commissioner. He also represents GAR in organizations such as the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, American Legislative Exchange Council, and various NAR committees.

Beyond his professional work, Jeff and his wife Lisa have been foster parents since 2010, actively volunteering with Dream Weavers of Georgia, Giving Children a Chance of Georgia, and Kennesaw Methodist Church. They reside in Kennesaw with their seven children and a house full of pets.

Nakia Brooks

Nakia is the Region 2 Regional Director of Georgia REALTORS® and a member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® (NAMAR). Throughout his two decades of experience in real estate, he has actively contributed to the real estate community. Nakia has served on every committee at NAMAR, taking on pivotal roles such as Treasurer and President-Elect. In 2023, he had the distinct honor of serving as the President of NAMAR. In addition to this, he has had the privilege of receiving prestigious accolades, including I-85 North Board of REALTORS® Volunteer of the Year, NAMAR REALTOR® of the Year in 2021, and Georgia REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year in 2022.

Nakia’s service as a Georgia REALTOR® State Director for over a decade underscores his commitment to shaping the future of real estate in the state. Since 2018, Nakia’s been actively involved in various Georgia REALTORS® committees, and he’s a proud graduate of the Georgia REALTORS® Leadership Academy, class of 2019.

Sharing knowledge and empowering others is a fundamental part of his mission. Since 2010, Nakia has served as a real estate instructor, impacting the lives of thousands of students across the state and even nationally. He believes that education is the cornerstone of success in real estate and is proud to have played a role in nurturing the next generation of real estate professionals.

His passion for real estate extends beyond state lines. Having served as a National Association of REALTOR® (NAR) National Director for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024, representing the interests of the industry on a national scale. Nakia is a proud investor in the REALTOR® Party (RPAC), and invests at the Golden “R” level, and is a member of NAR’s President’s Circle. He also is the National 2023 C2EX Ambassador of the Year.

In every aspect of his real estate journey, from transactions and leadership roles to education and community service, he brings a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his clients and colleagues.

Peyton Jenkins serves as the Local Advocacy Outreach Manager for the Georgia Association of REALTORS®, connecting local boards, members, and policymakers to advance real estate advocacy across the state. Through strategic outreach, education, and coalition-building, Peyton ensures that REALTORS®’ voices are heard in legislative and community initiatives. Dedicated to fostering strong local relationships, Peyton helps members stay informed, engaged, and equipped to influence policies that impact their business and communities.
